Telefonica’s gsm network coverage was pretty bad in several areas of the UK, Peru, and Argentina but most of those areas have good access to the internet.
How could we leverage a good internet service in order to boost telephony reception?
The solution
A cross-platform service that allowed users to have access to their calls, SMS, and voicemails through an app that could be installed on any device.
My Role
Started as the only designer on the team helping out with the innovation project.
Designed the first product iteration, mental model, information architecture, basic artifacts, and interactions.
I worked closely with the Product Owner in order to deliver the first production versions, also liaised with Fjord (design agency) and a complex set of stakeholders.
After it went life, worked on design iterations based on user data and customer feedback.
