Real private chats

Someone is monitoring this conversation… That’s always been the feeling when using online messaging services.

Pinglink was an experiment allowing users to chat in rooms that would self destruct after a defined time.

Whatever happened on that room wouldn’t be stored in any server, all the data would disappear after self destruction.

The journey

A user would create a room, define the lifespan of that room and then send the room link to as many participants as wanted.

? Hold on, is this it? What about the design challenge? User insights? Critical user journeys? Pixel perfect visuals?

If you made it this far, you’d probably want to hear the whole story so let’s have a chat! (better than reading a long winged design case here ? )
